The DS3 Group of Companies is a family-founded, globally positioned conglomerate created by PJ Douglas Sands and Caribbean Attorney Elva Verona Douglas Sands. With its roots in the Bahamas and reach across the US, Jamaica, and beyond, DS3 operates at the intersection of business, culture, and impact—offering high-level expertise across law, finance, travel, entertainment, real estate, nonprofit infrastructure, and brand development.
Elva Verona Douglas Sands is a respected attorney and lifelong educator, born in Manchester, Jamaica. She began her career in education, serving as a teacher and principal for 34 years before transitioning into law. A graduate of Bethlehem Teachers Training College (Jamaica), she went on to earn her B.Sc. in Education from Prairie View A&M University (TX), her M.A. in Education from the University of Miami (FL), and her LLB from the University of London (UK). In 1987, she was called to the UK Bar as a member of Lincoln’s Inn, and in 1992, she founded Douglas Sands & Associates in Nassau, Bahamas, where she continues to serve with integrity, excellence, and dedication to justice. Verona is a driving force behind DS3's core mission to build generational wealth. Her legal expertise and commitment to legacy-building help anchor DS3’s foundation in excellence, integrity, and visionary leadership.

Driven by a powerful mission to build generational wealth and global opportunities for creatives, professionals, and entrepreneurs, PJ Douglas Sands has become a recognized force in legal, financial, entertainment, and branding circles. With a legal foundation rooted in excellence and a visionary mindset for global enterprise, DS3 has evolved into a multifaceted empire that spans law, luxury travel, destination events, finance, media, and sports entertainment.
After graduating Barnard College, Columbia University (NY) and moving overseas to pursue a career in Hospitality and Tourism, PJ realized that a full-time position in even the most magnificent hotel or resort could not create the life she wanted to live well, travel well and invest well. Under the mentorship of her maternal grandparents George Sands and Elva Verona Douglas Sands together with the support of her parents Dr. Andy Ingraham and Professor Marilyn Douglas-Jones, she was encouraged daily by her Aunt Mary Douglas to step out on faith and turn her dreams into reality.
After retiring and starting her own company at 25 years old while living in The Bahamas, PJ has gone on to create 5+ businesses grossing 7 figures a year. As Founder + CEO of The DS3 Group, LUXE Worldwide Travel and DS3 MoneyWorks Financial & Health Solutions, she is one of the most recognized Travel, Tourism & Business Strategists in the US & Caribbean focused on travel, wealth building, entrepreneurship, financial strategies & tourism marketing.
Over the last 2 decades, DS3 has coached 500+ clients in 22 countries ranging from celebrities, tourist boards, airlines, professional associations to music labels, travel agencies, insurance brokerages, event planning firms and solopreneurs working towards increasing income and expanding brand footprints.
PJ has been the Director of Events for the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers (NABHOOD) since 2012, President of the International Multicultural and Heritage Tourism Network since 2023, National Brand Awareness Chair of Professional Travel Agents of North America (PTANA) since 2021, Advisory Board Member of Nexion Travel Group since 2022, Director of Communications for Friends of Public Hospitals Authority of The Bahamas since 2024, and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. since 2007.
